Food dehydrating is an excellent method of preserving from the garden or keeping up with bargain bulk-buying. Drying fruits, vegetables, herbs, or even soups is another way of maintaining the harvest and extending the shelf life of food that cannot be consumed right away. A friend gave us a handy do-it-yourself sprouting container. Making fresh homegrown sprouts is easy and much cheaper than buying pre-grown sprouts! Basically you get some seeds wet and let them sprout. While you don’t want the seeds to be submerged you do want them to have enough moisture. This moisture is accomplished by daily rinsing and draining. The Sproutamo container is perfect for streamlining the sprouting process.
