SUMMARY OF WEEK: This was not a typical week for us...we just returned from 2-weeks of Outdoor School (An outdoor education program I direct in the Spring and Fall at a local camp) dining on kid friendly fare in the cafe. While the food was good, in one sense, it was not our typical diet.
This week I did a 3-day fruit and veggie fast to give my system a little reboot. Shae is still nursing - so she stuck with simple whole foods.
Juicing requires a fair amount of produce - even for 3 days and buying organic produce can add up quickly. I knew we were going to be over this month...but after sitting down and looking at the numbers we did pretty good!
If we stuck to only food this month we would have been well under budget at: $73.60. Oh well, mascara, diapers and a bunch of organic veggies to juice are all worth the extra $35.55!
CONCLUSION: It's ok to go over budget on your wife's eyes lashes and your baby's butt!
