This morning I harvested our first batch zucchinis from our small backyard garden! Our little squash bed is full of blossoms and tiny growing fruit.

We have recently improved our meal plans! Each menu item has a reference number that is found on the shopping list. This allows you to easily remove menu items from your menu and shopping list.

Bulk bin buying is always a better deal - right? I was of this mindset until one day as my arm was elbow deep in semi-sweet chocolate chips I saw the price $7.99 lb. My one and only experience with winter squash involved a yellow mush (how does something roasted turn so soft?) that tasted a bit "squashy"--no amount of brown sugar could mask that decidedly terrible flavor. With that experience 15 years behind me, I am ready to learn more about this intriguing vegetable and excited to cook it into something edible.
